Christie is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Christie obtained her diploma of nursing from Watts School of Nursing and Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University. She recently completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing with a family practice concentration in 2017 from Catholic University of America. During her nursing career, she has loved being able to act as a patient advocate, listening to the patient and acting in their best interest. She especially enjoys working with children and older adults, and is looking forward to providing care to patients of all ages at InstaCare.
Christie says that patients can stay well and healthy by making a lifestyle change that is best for them individually, and to do that you first have to understand yourself. When you understand yourself, you can determine how to live your healthiest life. Outside of work, Christie loves to exercise, spend time with her family, go shopping, and read. She also enjoys good food and good movies!

Lawrence has many years of experience in the medical field: he started as a volunteer EMT and firefighter and then became a paramedic before continuing his career to become a Nurse Practitioner provider. Lawrence enjoys being able to help people who need care and providing education for them on how to best manage their health. He believes that having a proper work/life balance, getting adequate sleep and a good diet will do more than any prescription in keeping people healthy. Outside of work Lawrence’s hobbies include traveling, antique railroad equipment, and raising rabbits.
Keba has a passion for helping people and through patient care she is able to assist in the treatment of different medical conditions. She loves getting to see patients on a daily basis and help make a difference in each patient’s life and health at each visit. To ensure great communication with your healthcare provider, Keba recommends keeping appointments and following up regularly with your doctor. In her free time, Keba enjoys working out, playing basketball, and spending time with her mother and daughter.
Felicia joined the team of medical assistants at InstaCare in 2018. She enjoys practicing medicine because it gives her the chance to help people feel better, and loves getting to interact with patients in meaningful ways during their visits. Felicia recommends that patients have open and honest communication with their providers in order to work together towards the best health outcomes. She also believes that being a part of a medical team is important in boosting confidence and camaraderie, which in turn supports positive care for patients. In her free time, Felicia enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, listening to music, reading, and decorating.

Sandra has always been fascinated with the physical anatomy of the human body and is passionate about assisting in the well-being and care for others through her role at InstaCare. She recommends that people eat well, get sufficient sleep, and have a well-rounded lifestyle in order to stay their healthiest. Outside of work, Sandra enjoys singing, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Mariela joined the InstaCare team in 2019 and takes a collaborative approach with her patients, educating them on their treatment plans and allowing them to work closely with the provider team. She believes empowering patients to feel control and responsibility over their health concerns is a key part of treatment and getting healthy. Mariela’s fascination with health sciences brought her to a career in medicine and she stays up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices in order to provide the best care possible to patients. In her free time, Mariela enjoys traveling, learning from other cultures, crafting, reading, yoga, Zumba, and volunteering.

Bethany has been helping lead the charge in developing the InstaCare model in order to give Greensboro residents easier access to convenient and quality care. As a manager of Connected Care, Bethany enjoys finding new and innovative ways to provide health care services to all who live in our communities, especially with the constantly changing healthcare environment. She holds a master’s degree in health administration and business administration and has a special interest in business development and start-up initiatives.
One of Bethany’s main tips for ensuring good communication with your provider is to always come prepared with notes and questions to ask your provider. Outside of work Bethany spends most of her time with her husband and her family, and enjoys living a healthy lifestyle, doing everything she can to stay active.
